CEPMs virtual 28th Global Symposium dedicated to the 2nd World Project Management Forum (WPMF) 2020 was very successfully held on 14th – 16th December 2020. The Speakers were 22 highly appreciated thought leaders from 14 countries who addressed the 950+ participants across 28 countries covering public and private sector, central government, state government, academics and R&D.
This historic event was supported by NITI Aayog – the policy Think Tank of the Govt of India. 6 leading corporates also supported this event – NTPC, Indian Oil, GAIL and PowerGrid were the Symposium Co-Sponsors and BEML and HMEL the Symposium Associates. In 1992, CEPM had taken the innovative and the challenging step of organizing India’s First International conference on Project Management on the theme “New Dimensions in Project Management”. This historic project management conference was organized in association with United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and was supported by the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. This laid the foundation for introducing scientific project management discipline in India.
In view of CEPM’s outstanding success in promoting project management, UNDP again associated with CEPM for their next two International conferences in 1993 and 1994. Since then CEPM has been organizing a widely acclaimed International project management global symposium every single year.
In 2019 the World Project Management Forum (WPMF) was founded by Adesh Jain, a well known visionary shaping the project management profession globally and the Chairman, International Institute of Projects and Program Management with wide support from the global community. The 2019 Global Symposium was dedicated to the 1st World Project Management Forum Meet. It was held in New Delhi on 9th – 10th Dec 2019. It was an overwhelming success with 600+ participants from 116 organizations and 15 countries.
Due to covid restriction the 20th global symposium and 2nd WPMF Meet was held virtually for the first time.
